Brooklands Museum offers a growing outreach programme to groups who would like us to visit their school. We have workshops run by our education team as well as loan boxes for teacher-led learning. The programme has been designed to complement classroom learning and can be used at any stage during your topic. A brief outline is provided below and early booking is recommended.
Help your pupils to discover the exciting world of engineering as we take your pupils for a journey through the forces affecting different modes of transport. Pupils will build, test and modify their own parachute in this creative workshop
On the Home Front
Investigate the life of a local child during World War Two by examining historical artefacts in your classroom. Pupils will learn how life changed for people on the Home Front as we look at the effects of war on their daily life.
The Art of Machines
Students will observe and handle museum artefacts and will do quick sketches, before designing their own mechanical beast.
